On August 27, 2016, the sky’s two brightest planets Venus and Jupiter will stage the year’s closest conjunction of two planets. Venus and Jupiter engage in their closest conjunction in nearly a half a century. This Saturday night, make plans to get a clear view of the western horizon in order to see a celestial event that won’t happen again until 2065 (Cofield, 2016).
