Cybersecurity isn’t just a framework—it’s a mindset.

For over 16 years, I’ve led enterprise IT and security operations at Select Data, helping transform a legacy infrastructure into a resilient hybrid-cloud environment. Along the way, I’ve learned that real security doesn’t start with a policy—it starts with people.

As Director of IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity, I’ve built programs grounded in NIST CSF and HITRUST while fostering a culture that values awareness as much as automation. From incident response to identity management, my focus is simple: protect what matters, empower teams, and align security with growth.

But I didn’t start in cybersecurity—I built my way into it.

In 2016, our CIO handed me a challenge: “We need policies and procedures, and we need them yesterday.” That moment launched my cybersecurity journey. With no SOC, no SIEM, and no formal framework, I began writing Select Data’s first security policies—grounded in ISO 27002 and later aligned with NIST CSF.

Today, as Director of Infrastructure, CISO, I continue to evolve that foundation: integrating HITRUST controls, overseeing incident response, IAM, and security architecture, and shaping a culture where awareness and accountability come before alerts.

My mission hasn’t changed since day one—build secure systems that empower people, protect data, and make security a business enabler, not a bottleneck.
